Abu Dhabi National Tanker Company (ADNATCO), established in 1975 for the transport of crude oil & petroleum products, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).
ADNATCO owns and operates a fleet of crude / products tankers, a molten sulphur carrier, and RoRo vessels.
ADNATCO vessels trade worldwide for international customers including major oil companies.
The Company also provides logistical support and advice on shipping to ADNOC and its Group of Companies.
ADNATCO is certified by Lloyd’s to the ISM Code (International Safety Management), the ISO 9001 (Quality Standards), and the ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Standards).

| 1975 | The Emiri decree No.4 was issued for the Incorporation of ADNATCO, Abu Dhabi National Tanker Company, as a wholly owned subsidiary of ADNOC, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, for the purpose of transportation of crude oil & petroleum products. |
| 1975 | Acquisition of VLCC “Al Dhafrah” (269,197 DWT) and “Dalma” (260,866 DWT). |
| 1977 | Acquisition of “Al Ain” (135,900 DWT). |
| 1980 | Contract signed with Chantiers de L’Atlantique, St. Nazaire, France to build (3) Petroleum Product Tankers, namely: Al Dhabiyyah, Yamilah, and Arzanah. |
| 1980 | Contract signed with Korea Shipbuilding & Engineering Co., Pusan, Korea to build (4) Petroleum Product Tankers, namely: Al Dhibyaniyyah, Baynunah, Diyyinah, and Umm Al Lulu. |
| 1982 | P&O Ship Management Ltd., U.K. were appointed as ADNATCO Fleet Managers to replace Denholme Ship Management Company. |
| 1983 | Delivery of (6) Product Tankers built at the Korean and French shipyards. |
| 1984 | Delivery of the last Product Tanker Al Dhibyaniyyah. 1985 Two VLCC Tankers were scrapped (Al Dhafra and Dalma). |
| 1991 | Contract with Singmarine Shipyard to build Janana, a Molten Sulphur Carrier of 9,377 DWT. |
| 1991 | ADNATCO took over the management of its Fleet from P&O. |
| 1993 | Delivery of a Molten Sulphur Carrier “Janana” (9,365 DWT). |
| 1993 | Ship Umm Al Lulu was Modified for the shore bunkering operations of ADNOC. |
| 1994 | Acquisition of a VLCC, “Liwa” of (256,390 DWT) used as storage tanker. |
| 1995 | Acquisition of M.T. “Bani Yas” of 6,755 DWT. |
| 1995 | M.T. Al Ain was scrapped. |
| 1997 | ADNATCO certfified by Lloyd’s to the ISM Code (Safety Standards) and the ISO 9001 (Quality Standards). |
| 1999 | “Liwa” was scrapped. |
| 2002 | ADNATCO Certified by Lloyd’s to the ISO 14001 Environmental Standards. |
| 2002 | ADNATCO chartered RoRo vessel “Stena Tender” commences transportation of Borouge’s production of Polyethylene. |
| 2003 | First UAE national appointed as Master of an oil tanker vessel in ADNATCO. |
| 2004 | (2) Ro-Ro vessels (Al Dhafrah and Al Ruwais) |
