Gulf Drilling & Maintenance, known in short as GDMC, is an Integrated Oil Service Company operating in Kuwait, throughout the GCC countries and in North Africa.

GDMC was established and began its operations in 1982. Since then, GDMC continues to grow and diversify. Many services are now offered, assisting the client in evaluating producing wells and their production as well as servicing these wells to monitor and increase productivity.

From a different perspective, a new service has recently been introduced, allowing GDMC to look after, maintain and repair client upstream assets, both subsurface and on surface, and insure their integrity and safe operation.

GDMC field operations are organized under multiple service departments and disciplines, thus optimizing efficiency, promoting direct contacts with client personnel and insuring the best possible performance.

GDMC is committed to Quality. Quality control and procedures are rigorously enforced in all operations. In this context, in parallel to the efforts put to expand the scope of services offered, and in line with the company policy of maintaining international standards, GDMC got the first ISO 9001-2000 certificate in the year 2002.

Safety and the environment are two other important issues for GDMC. Many safety awards won by the company are a good testament to the commitment of all personnel towards an overall safe operation. The aim is to make safety and caring for the environment a way of life for GDMC personnel, not just a set of rules.

During the last few years, GDMC experienced a tremendous growth, mainly in its operations. This growth, however, has not only focused on expanding services to new territories but on technology and innovations. GDMC has set up joint ventures with internationally renowned partners in order to conduct research and development in different fields. Some of these new or improved technologies and innovations are already in use by GDMC service departments and have proven their superiority, while others are being developed and on their way to join the present service fleet.
