Established in 1979, Al Fajar Al Alamia Co. S.A.O.G., previously known as Hajar Explosives Trading Co., is an Omani company with worldwide connections. It was set up in collaboration with ICI Nobel’s Explosives Company, at that time the largest industrial explosives company in the world.
Since inception, the company has complied with strict and uncompromising standards of the Royal Oman Police on explosives related issues. The Company has been the key supplier of explosives and accessories, which has made the constructions of an intricate network of roads possible over rocky terrain and has also provided explosives products required for mining and quarrying operations, cutting trenches when laying oil and gas pipelines and in harbour construction.
The company is rightly proud of its safety record which compliments its responsible role in this important area. The group is ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certified.
EXPLOSIVES DIVISION
Today, Al Fajar Al Alamia is a leading name in the industrial explosives, thanks to its manufacturing capabilities, dee understanding of the civil explosive business, markets, storage capacity and, of course, its people.
Manufacturing Facility (Explosives):
Hajarex ANFO Factory (Oman): The company manufactures ” Hajarex ANFO “, the bulk explosives, at its large and well-equipped plant and magazine facilities at Hajar, near Muscat, called the Central Explosives Depot.
Hajarite Emulsion Factory (Oman): The division also manufactures at Hajar Central Explosives Depot ” Hajarite Emulsion ” explosive, a product technologically superior to slurry and other types of cartridged explosives.
Factory in UAE: In order to spread its wings in other countries, the company has a new associate named Geodynamics Mideast LLC in Fujairah, UAE. The new company will operate in the field of manufacturing and trading of industrial explosives in the UAE, based in Fujairah.
Marketing Ancillary Drilling & Blasting Equipment in GCC: Apart from manufacturing explosives, the company markets the safe and efficient non-electrical initiation systems and other accessories such as detonating cords, electric detonators, detonating relays, sourced from reputable manufacturers in different parts of the world.
